Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions

Deposit

A non-refundable deposit of £25 is payable with your booking. Whilst it is non-refundable, if you cancel your booking, it may be redeemed against future bookings within the next 6 months of the original boarding date.

Payments

The full cost of your pets’ stay is payable on arrival (subject to our minimum charge of £25). Payments are non-refundable in the event of an early return.

If you are delayed picking up your pet, additional daily boarding rates will apply and must be paid when your pet is collected. Any extension to boarding dates must be agreed with us.

Daily rates include the day of arrival and collection.

Abandonment Policy

If your pet is not collected on the agreed collection date, we will attempt to contact you. We will consider your pet abandoned after 4 weeks of no contact and the additional costs of boarding will be pursued via the Small Claims Court. We will then seek to rehome your pet. By accepting these terms and conditions you accept that 4 weeks of no contact will result in you relinquishing ownership. This doesn’t relinquish financial responsibility for the four weeks of additional boarding.

Bonded animals

Bonded animals which live together may share accommodation at your request. Please make this clear on your booking form as different charges apply. We will not be responsible for injury or pregnancy whilst in our care.

Should we feel it necessary, we will separate bonded animals advising you of when and why they were separated. At that point additional boarding fees for single boarders will apply.

Booking Form

You must complete our booking form with your contact details and your pets health and accommodation needs.

Health

Our booking form asks you about your reptile’s health. It is important that you provide us with as much information as you can. We reserve the right to refuse to board any animal that has health conditions that could impact the health of other animals in our care. If we have been advised of medical conditions in advance, we will evaluate your reptiles needs and advise you if we are able to board them. If your pet needs regular medication or any specialist care, an additional fee will be payable which will be advised when you book with us. Full instructions from the attending Vet must be supplied.

If you have not told us of your reptiles’ needs in advance and we see signs of disease, injury or illness on arrival we may not be able to accept your pet for boarding.

On collection you will be asked to inspect your pet, any concerns must be raised before you leave and will be detailed on the booking form which you will be required to sign to confirm collection of your pet.

Mites

Please check your pet carefully for signs of mites, we will refuse boarding to any infected animal.

In the rare event that Mites are not identified at drop off and are then found on your pet (mites will be obvious within a couple of days of boarding) we will contact you to advise of our isolation processes and additional costs that you will incur as we take preventative actions to prevent spread and to treat the infection.  These costs will extend to the preventative treatments necessary for our other boarders.

Death or Illness

We will always put the reptiles needs first, so in the event we see signs of illness in your pet we will immediately try to contact you. If we feel it is necessary, we will get expert care from our vet. You are responsible for any vets’ fees or treatment costs incurred and a fee for our travel and time.

In the unlikely event that your pet dies in our care, we will contact you immediately for instructions on your wishes for your pet’s body.

Your pet will be kept in accommodations which are clean, safe, and suitable for their needs, and so we are not held responsible for any damages because of their death.

Accommodation

Your reptile will be kept in housing suitable for it’s size and species, we do not guarantee a particular set up.

Liability Policy

We do not assume and shall not be held responsible for any liability with respect to your pet, of any kind, arising out of or from their boarding, or any damages which may accrue from any other cause whatsoever.

Please note that pets are left entirely at their owners’ risk.

We are unable to accept any reptiles listed under the Dangerous Wild Animals Act.
